is my pentium e6500 holding back my memory speed ? , the fsb for my cpu is 1066 while my ddr3 is 1333 . but cpu-z says my memory is running at 1066 , is it cause the cpu fsb is 1066 or is something set incorrect in the bios ? . i do not see the option in the bios to set it to 1333 , but it does give the options to run at 1600 or higher . mobo is an asus p5e3 pro (x48)

the fsb for your cpu will actually be 333, the 1066 value is quad pumped, the memory is probably running at teh lower speed because its been incorrectly recognised by bios, you should have an option for memory multiplier/divider which will allow you to run it at different speeds. I recomend you have a read of the overclocking guide on here to clue yourself in a bit
