Cpu loop spec.

I've decided I want to water cool, moved my machine into the Phantom 630 yesterday so I have plenty of space for rads etc. I have no idea what I'm looking at with water cooling, I want to get the ek ondie water cooling stands so it must be ek-supremacy, what's the best cooling equipment I can get guys? :)

I have 3 scythe gt1850 fans already.

Hi, yes the loops for my 3770k. I'll add the GPU's later as I know they'll cost a bit too. Don't really have a budget, how much is the average spec, what's the best radiator etc? I guess I could use a 240 for good results?
 
what is the largest rad your case can handle? I would begin there, then think about the pump and finally res. what sort of res are you after a bay res or a pump?

I seriously have no idea what I'm doing here - Read the stickies here but I don't know if everything is compatible, is that what I need to buy to get a full CPU loop working? As said earlier, I already have 2xScythe Gentle Typhoon 1850s.

Won't need the biocide as it is a premixed fluid
I would get 2 metres of tubing. You will need to warm the ends of tubing to stretch it over.
Will need 2 bottles of fluid. That res does 820ml alone!
 
that pump will be difficult to use with the tubing you've chosen... you either need a pump top, or consider an EK DCP 4.0 pump, much cheaper and slightly better head pressure compared with a D5... mount it on some foam to cut out vibrations and it is silent (something a bit thicker and softer than the foam it comes with)

Replaced the X400 with the X250. I shouldn't need more than 1m surely? I'm only doing the CPU loop.

I've read everywhere the D5 is better, I'd rather get a pump top and spend the extra money on the driving force of my cooling. I also hope to add another 360 rad to cool SLI 670s, but thats way later.

Perfect mate, this will take me a while to save up for but I'll be buying parts in dribs and drabs but I'll watch out for it coming into stock.

The pump top you have chosen is for a DDC not a D5, the standard D5 without top would have actually been ok with your tubing btw 7/16" hose will go onto 1/2" barbs with a bit of force and will give a nice tight seal, but if you def want a top for the D5 then OCUK sell pre assembled D5/top combos that are good.

Swapped it for this XSPC D5 Vario Pump & EK-D5 X-TOP CSQ Plexi Combo.

All good now yeah? :)
 
What am I going to use to cut the tubing? Also have no idea how I'm going to build this and have swapped the RX240 for the Monsta 240. :)
