I have just installed Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro , pc been on since 6pm tonight

CPU 38 °C - 40 °C

Motherboard 38 °C- 40 °C

Temps have never moved over 40 once

Are these temps normal or to high

it must be the case cooling , the temps are not moving up which is a good thing , they are just the same , the case i am using is a standard ATX from mesh which i will change soon

What sort of temps should i be getting

Pretty high IMO..

27 c cpu idle (stock HSF @ 1800rpm, OC'd)
22 c (passive)

I would look at your case cooling.

Yes i will look at case change , at least the temps are stable not going any higher then 40 , my pc has been on for around 6 hours today , inside is very cool not warm , i did think using the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler would make a change , the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 is very quiet , i cannot even hear it spinning

I think i might need case change , i am not going to panic about the temps , they are stable and they never go over 40 , i phoned my local pc shop and they said i have nothing to panic about , even my pc been on since 3pm today the temps are the same

Can i just say i have a 120mm fan blowing cold air out or should that be blowing cold air inside the case

Motherboard 38 °C (104 °F)
CPU 37 °C (99 °F)

SHANE Your temps are fine bud, people are just worrying and confusing you :)

I sometimes wonder if reading forums are a good idea , they scare the hell out of me , one person saying one thing and another saying something else

So my 120mm fan is pushing air out of my case , so is that correct

Or would it be better for 120mm to push air into my case

why are his motherboard temps really high? maybe that reading is the chipset temp, not the ambient.

CPU Temp = 38
M/Board Temp = 40

I have double checked , i am very disapointed , i had better temp readings with my old cooler Akasa AK856

thats more like it, what temp monitor are you using and have you got cpu-z as i want to know what voltage the chip is running

Had a look on cpu-z , the voltage is between 1.37-1.408 , is this ok ?

The temp monitor i am running is EVEREST (The 30 day version)

Thanks for you help , i dont have msn but you could always talk to me step by step via phone or drop me a email :) i also think the problem is i have a very small mesh atx case with not a lot of room for air to flow , i just manage to squeeze my Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler and i will replace it with a Thermaltake bigger case , i stuck another 120mm fan inside which has dropped the motherboard temp down to 29-30, the cpu temp is still at 38 , what i am finding is that on the motherboard is a small chip fan that gets very warm
