CPU/Memory settings 2700x

Hi guys
just built my system but not sure what settings I should be running the memory/cpu at with no overclocking?

MSI B450I GAMING PLUS AC Socket AM4 Mini Itx
AMD 2700X with OEM prism cooler
Geforce GTX 1080ti Mini
Team Group Vulcan T-Force 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C16 3000MHz Dual Channel Kit

Any help would be good as everything is on default at the moment.

p.s. is the CPU fan supposed to randomly spin up/down itself?

2700x seems to fluctuates a fair bit in temp even when just browsing. Best thing to do is set a flat "curve" upto about 50, then ramp up. Mine jumps from 35-45 normally.

Yeah I noticed it in the bios, it said the fan wasn't connected but could see the fan spin up now and again, was sat around 35c. Will look at the curve settings.

ok so I have been running this with correct settings but the OEM fan is a noisy bugger!! Then again my Mac Pro fan only used to used to hit about 1500rpm max but not this Amd one is nearly double that and idle is just as bad.

Is there anything quieter I can replace it with, was thinking of an AIO but not sure anything will fit in my Riotoro CR280 mini itx case?

Is the SCMG-5100 MUGEN 5 REV.B CPU COOLER decent one to replace the stock one?
