CPU Mobo compatibility

Recently bought a Asus Prime Z270-A mobo, I've got a fairly old but not that old i5-3570k CPU, is it going to be alright? Or do I need to upgrade my cpu.

Skylake or Kaby Lake will work with that board

could either return the board and find one second hand for that CPU, socket LGA 1055/z77 board if i recall

or sell your current CPU and get one of the above ^^^ seems intel is giving away games with its other Gen CPUs because of the newest just out

^^^ my fail moment - ram prices are increasing - DDR3 getting hard to get so should make some cash if you do sell your old set up that had DDR3 .

set up for 16GB being recommended means lot of DDR3 users looking to bump up their 4gb/8gb systems
