Cpu: AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor (4.0/4.2GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 8MB Level 2 Cache, Socket AM3+, 125W, Retail Boxed)

Motherboard: Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 Motherboard (AMD 970, SB950, DDR3, S-ATA 600, ATX, 2 x eS-ATA, 2 x USB 3.0, Socket AM3+)

GPU: EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 Superclocked ACX 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

Would i be able to use these all? Would i be able to overclock both GPU and CPU with this board?

Hi,

Yes you would be able to use all these parts and yes you will be able to overclock especially if you spend about £30 on a aftermarket heatsink.

I think that you can get better card than gtx760 from amd, since 760 is just a litte beefed up 660.
There are nice deals for 7950 and 7970 almost every day.
Or add 30£ and get R9 280X.

If i was to get the AMD cpu, i would be overclocking it myself anyway, so should i just get the 8320 over the 8350? makes sense right?

And i've take the advice and gone with the XFX Radeon HD 7950 DD Edition 3GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

Yes get the 8320. Good card choice, paired with another in the future it will offer great longevity.

I've seen barely any difference at all in overclocks from the 8350. It's actually quite disappointing in a way, but then the 8320 is definitely the pick of the pack. It costs barely more than Intel's I3s.

Edit. Don't forget to stop by the overclocking thread when you get it. Plenty of Asus boards going strong in there :)

Oh no...if you can, get a 7950 of a differnt brand!

XFX's RMA service is so bad, that even OcUK has stop stocking their stock to spare themselves from the headache of returning faulty cards to them.

**** I missed the brand thinking you had bought from OcUK. Let's hope it's a good one if you decide to stay with it, if it's any consolation I have an XFX Ghost in my machine and has been performing well for over a year now.

Good spot Marine!

Aha thanks, i'll hunt down a different brand when i get a chance.

:) And for reference, i'll be playing games like League of legends, Gta V(when released) DayZ, Skyrim, Call of Duty titles, possibly some Battlefield.

Thanks for all the help, i appreciate it all
