hi iv just started overclocking and i oc my 965p ds4 mobo to 300fsb. in my bios iv got my multiplier at 8, thats the highest it can go (conroe e6400 stock 2.13ghz) however when i check woth cpuz it only says my multiplier is at 6, why is this?

It's because of the SpeedStep power-saving mode. It will go back to x8 once you apply any load

You can disable it via the C1E and EIST options in BIOS if you wish to.
