CPU or GPU Upgrade?

I'm contemplating spending a bit of money on the PC but can't decide where my money would be best spent. Generally happy with performance in most games however I would like to be able to push the settings a bit further on AAA titles and get better avg FPS in games like rust.

Current specs:
AMD 5600x
32GB RAM
7800XT 16GB

Playing at 1440p

Wondering if I should sell the card and put the money towards a 9070XT or make the jump to AM5?

Any advice appreciated

Theres nothing really wrong with what you got.
Upgrading the the cpu to am5 will cost at least £400 - what you can get for the am4 depending on what you have £100???
Gpu wise a upgrading to a 9070xt will be around £250 -£300 ish when selling your old card. could also swap the CPU to a x3d chip if able?

A 5700X3D would be a nice upgrade for gaming and possibly a new GPU as tetras has suggested above
