Hi,

I have an issue with my CPU over heating.

It is overclocked to 3.6Ghz and im using the Intel Water Cooling kit

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-002-IN&groupid=701&catid=2330&subcat=2345

It has been overclocked for months with no problems what so ever, but as of yesterday, it is all of a sudden over heating. The idle temps are at 77 degrees and the load temps go to 100 degrees then unsurprisingly it crashes.

Does anybody have any ideas as to why?

Thanks,

Craig

Grip/cup/touch the pump and see if you can feel it working.

Is the fan spinning btw? (Stupid question sorry for asking in advance :p )

Try tapping the pipes for a couple of minutes.

What voltage have you got it at btw?

I'd agree with the guys' suggestions above in order to find the problem :)

In order to solve the problem, I'd initially suggest returning to stock speeds - that may bring the temps down a little initially. Next if you suspect the cooler is the problem, get a new cooler or return it on an RMA. Let us know how it goes:)
