CPU power wire

Hi all,

I recently had a thread about my pc not booting up, but managed to fix it so thanks to all for your help and advice.

I have one of those large Megahalem heat sinks on my cpu but the power wire for the cpu is resting slightly on the end of the heat sink. Was just wondering if this was dangerous in anyway or would it be fine, have tried to tidy the cables as best I can but there's always one annoying wire.

Thanks in advance

As long as it's not too tight (i.e. not exerting a pressure on the heat sink), there's no exposed metal on the wire and it's and not interfering with the fan it should be OK.

If the heat sink gets hot enough to melt the covering on the wires then the PC's probably already on fire.
