Your far better doing it in the bios than via any windows app.

Some motherboards have OC software from the boards manufacturer. e.g. ABIT uGURU.

What motherboard do you have?

1.35 or some thing like that ,it said my cpu fan is not working but it is.My mb is a abit lp35 pro

Seriously, dont bother with UGuru in windows... Go into the Bios at boot and use UGuru there, it will result in a better and more stable clock.

100% Agreed, uGuru in Vista has been shockingly unreliable, every version (including the latest) have had issues. Better off working directly in the bios and monitoring temp/volts with CPU-Z and CoreTemp.
