CPU - Quad or Dual?

i'd say get a wolfdale for gaming quads are a good deal as well and come into their own in multitasking. (quads will run games just as well but the wolfdale will take the edge in gaming)

True but technology and people's opinions move on. Last time I looked at a thread like this nobody could see the obvious benefit of running games on a faster dual core compared to slower quad core. They were all screaming quad core for the win (whatever that means).
