Can you give suggestions of which combo of CPU, RAM and hard drive is best for a total of £200 give or take the odd £10?

I'll mostly be using the PC for photo editing with the odd bit of gaming thrown in. I 'need' 4GB of DDR3 1333 RAM and an Athlon CPU.

Thanks.

Needs to be DDR3 1333 unfortunately. I've got this motherboard and it says I need to OC for anything higher than 1333. I want as pain a free new build as possible really. :)

Already then go or Kennys ram then but the hard drive is really down to how much space you think you are going to use.

I can get the F3 1TB for around £57 or the Caviar Black 640GB for just over £50. It makes the F3 look good value for the sake of £7.

How does that Athlon II X4 compare to the Phenom II 550BE for image editing?

The Athlon is basically the same chip without the extra Cache. Since you can unlock cores on the 550 that's probably the better choice. Really depends which motherboard you have at the minute though.
