CPU/RAM OC

Cheers, will try that and come back later with the results.

Tried 4.4ghz, computer did not boot, then downgraded to 4.3ghz, which worked for a while but it crashed, then it crashed again. I've put it back to 4.2ghz, i'm not sure if I can do anything else.

Increase the turbo offset by how much do you reckon? it's at +0.078V

Also, according to CPUID the voltage has reached 1.381V in some periods. Is that safe?
The absolute maximum vcore voltage recommended by Intel is 1.4 V, so I'd recommend staying under that for everyday use.

So you have a choice push higher if so increse voltage in increments till stable or stay at 4.2 , I would stay at 4.2 and try to lower the voltage .
Test and check temps keep reducing till you fund the lowest stable voltage.

Then tackle the ram check the xmp profile and set it

There may be others that have more knowledge than me that can help you achieve higher clocks.

CPU is stable at 4.2ghz, temp does not go over 65 even when gaming.

In terms of RAM, i don't know what I'm doing wrong. Whatever i try, computer does not boot.

Firstly what is your ram speed?
There should be a setting called xmp profile change that to the next available speed, it mite say profile 1 or 2 .

Try profile 1 as 2 being the most extreme

Hey, sorry for the delay, been busy these days.

So my Ram is furyX 1866hz, from what ive seen online people oced this to 2200-2400. However, whatever I do computer does not boot afterwards.

I do not have a thing called xmp profile anywhere in bios, I have looked everywhere. Anything else I can do ? Thanks

In the bios overclock tweaker go down to
Gt overclocking next it should be
Dram timing configuration
load xmp setting.

Check page 48 and 49 of the manual.

I'm off to bed good luck.

Nope, I do not think my mobo has those. The only thing i can do is change the MHz and timings. mobo is so old i cant do anything in it; i might just give up
I remember when I tried it was a pain, I could only get a small increase.

Best to use an overclocking guide and then it's trial and error

Sorry I can't help you further, good luck.

Yeah, I figured it is something like that; problem is whatever i try the computer just refuses to boot. I do not think anymore its worth the time. Thanks for the help anyway!
