Hiya guys
Built my system, but im informed my CPU at idle might be running to hot?
its at 61-62 deg
The CPU is the Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FSB)
MoBo is an ASUS P5Q Pro Intel
CPU cooler is an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler
Artic Silver 5 compound had to be re-applied to this as I have a RAM Cooler that really obstructed the Fan on the Freezer 7, so I rotated the cooler head 90deg clockwise, I have an Antec 1200 with huge fan at the top, so it seemed a good choice!
The Artic Silver 5 Website said how to apply the stuff on the Quad CPU and I am sure i've done it correctly, could I have applied too much, making the gap to big, would this cause to high a temp?
The Bios Settings for the CPU Fan are default, and the Antec 1200 case has so many fans im sure it cant be lack of airflow!
Any advice or help appreciated please guys!
