Hi - I'm getting a bit confused about what my actual CPU temps are for my Intel E-2180. At present I'm getting different temps reported by Speedfan and HWMonitor, and the HWMonitor temps are about 12-15c higher. I've tried CoreTemp but it doesn't seem to run under Vista64.

I have a feeling that the Speedfan temps are correct as temps of around 78c at 3.4GHz with 1.5V matches what I'd expect based on various threads and articles I've read. I know, 78c is high but I plan to fully clean re-seat my Tuniq Tower with AS5 and a Scythe Slipstream 1200 fan as soon as the fan arrives (I have 3 on order).

All thoughts welcome please :-)

I have that same CPU and am also running Vista 64 Ultimate. I use speed fan and everest and they both say the same. Sounds like HWMonitor is wrong.

Personally they all give me the same results, but if your running an intel CPU I would go with TAT for most accurate readings

Naud
