CPU Temp Very High

Mate could you go have a look in the bios what the hardware monitor is saying your CPU temp is?

I have seen some pretty messed up temperature readings when two applications are open at the same time which utilize the same sensors. So maybe you are getting a false reading. Just maybe. The bios should give a reasonably accurate picture.

If the bios confirms that the temps are the same, then do you have the original Intel cooler that came with the CPU? If so pop it on and see if there is any difference.

It could just be that your cooler base is no longer seating correctly. The stock cooler will be able to confirm or toss that idea in the garbage. :D
 
BIOS confirmed the temperature at around 80 when I first went to the "health check" to show the temperatures, but for the 10-15 seconds I was looking at it, the temperature increased to 87 :S
Also, my fanspeed was still around 1700rpm even in BIOS

very very strange

Also, I already use the stock cooler :(
