CPU Temp?

I have just gotten back my PC from Overclockers, it was being repaired because my monitor would stay black first couple of boots and i was told to update my BIOs to see if it fixed it but it didnt which then lost my overclocking,
so i sent it and i got it back with a replaced graphics card and reclocked BUT i just ran CoreTemp/Prime95 and my temp went straight upto 100C and is about 50C idle and thats with my case open/4 fans in my case aswell.

Core Speed: 4011MHz
Multiplier: x 21.0
Bus SpeeD: 191.0MHZ
QPI Link: 4202.5HZ

Ok just put it down to 3438MHz but still the same.

Set your memory timing @ 9-9-9-28-1T or 8-8-8-24-1T (you might need to reseat your cpu cooler again) and ensure your vcore is no more than 1.30V

Ok sorted, i took off the CPU cooler and spread the compound about with abit of card, ohh and the screws holding the joints to the cooler were loose.
Idle @ 20C now and went upto about 60C at load, shall i change QPI LINK to auto instead of x36 now?

good to hear it mate, 60C load is about right. Leave the QPI Link set at x36 as you can push it 4.2GHz now but make sure the QPI Link stay at x36, and try 21x200 with turbo mode on with HT enabled with 1.30vcore at the bios and your temperature should be around 75C max

Thanks, ill have a look. My core voltage on cpu-z is 1.376 V.
