CPU temp

Last year I built myself a system based on the following:

Intel i7-3770 CPU
BeQuiet BK017 CPU Cooler
Asus P8Z77-V/DELUXE mobo
BeQuiet BN203 DARK PRO10 850W PSU
Two 140MM BEQUIET BL063 SWINGS fans
Fractal Design Define R4
32GB 1600Mhz RAM
256GB Samsung 830 SSD
Western Digital 3TB Red drive
No graphics card (using the onboard HD4000).
Nothing is overclocked

I was just curious what sort of CPU and motherboard temperatures I could expect with a system like this when its idle or under load.

As I type this (system is pretty much idle I would say) the Asus software is telling me the CPU is 42C and the mobo is 43C. The CPU fan is spinning at 678RPM, back fan is 350RPM and the front fan is running at 380RPM.

Are these temperatures within a normal range? The room temperature is 23C.

Thanks for any help!

Temps are ok, the CPU idle temp could be a few deg lower but nothing major. Its the full load temps that count.

Run Prime for a few hours and see what temps you get.

Thanks! Currently I am just using web browser, email client, running media player in the background for playing music and got some items running in the system tray. CPU is currently between 5 - 8%. Using about 4GB RAM. CPU temp is now 48C and mobo is 42C.

I did turn the fans down from about 800RPM to about 350RPM a couple months ago to make the machine as quiet as possible...hence my question about temps. Just wanted to make sure everything is operating within an acceptable range?

VERY quiet hehe. I have it about 2 feet away from my bed and I have left it on a couple times during the night and its ok (way better than my previous machine) but I still prefer to have it off at night to ne honest. During the day/evening its amazing...its almost silent.

I've been running Prime95 for about 30min now. CPU is maxxed out at 100% and its using about 1.6GB of RAM.

CPU temp is: 55C

Mobo temp is: 45C

CPU fan speed: 790RPM

Case fans: 550RPM

thats perfectly fine, until i wouldnt worry until your hitting 70 consistantly my cpu fan is turned off (0RPM) untill it gets to 50.
