So I was using the asus temp software to measure temperatures but decided to try core temp and the temperature is 18'C lower, 39 vs 21, thats a huge difference so which should I be trusting?
btw its an amd motherboard running a 1055t 95w if that makes any difference
Thanks for your time :)

Perhaps the Asus software was reading the temperature of your Motherboard whilst CoreTemp is reading the actual CPU core temp? Long shot but can't think what else.....

download HWmonitor from Cpuid, mobo temps should be taken from TMPIN1 and processor taken from TMPIN0, ignore the individual core temps :)
