just got a NZXT Lexa case - so cool:cool: - how-ever, i'm un-sure where to position the CPU sensor

i have it taped to the underside of the cooler next to the contact bit, how-ever, its a good 15+ degree's out to what speedfan is saying

would it be safe to put it between the cooler and the cpu or not?

No!

Put the sensor on topside of the heatsink.

You wont get accurate die temsps.

You could drill the side of the IHS and put the probe in there. PITA to do and voids warranty. Other than that, its a case of making an educating guess.

thanks for the input guys

i'm only using the stock intel cooler at the moment, so i'm kinda limit on where i can put the sensor on the cooler itself

think i will just leave it as it is at the moment, or i might move it on to the clamming bracket that holds the CPU down, and see what is says then

its not something i'd normally install, but it just so happens that this case has a small LCD screen on it for measuring temps (CPU, HDD, SYS) so i thought i'd be aswell using them
