Cpu temps

Sounds ok depending what you are doing.

Start by giving out your spec, your case, your fan setup, and any possible OC if you want suggestions on how to improve.

BIOS temps are always quite hot, whilst it may not look like the CPU is doing anything in the bios, it is actually under a reasonable load. Your temps sound ok for the stock cooler, but it'd be better to put a cheap cooler on it.

It's an expensive CPU, so investing 20-30 more in decent cooling is a small marginal expense.

I use an Arctic freezer 7

also what temp is your room, mine is 20'c now and thats the current temps I have

My 3770k doesn't even hit 60C under load! It usually maxes at around 56-58C (gaming), but i've heard about Haswell chips running hotter than previous gen chips... 60C under load is perfectly fine, but not when idling.

thermal compound:

Did you apply it yourself, if so what brand did you use and what method did you use to apply?
If not, what kind was on there when you bought it, was it the 3 stripes as intel like to do? did you accidentally touch/rub the compound when fitting it or did you dismount and remount the heatsink without checking the condition of the compound?

It don't matter what compound hes got on you could put cement on an it wouldn't be that high at idle.

There's more than just compound going on here.
