CPU usage 80% +

Hi I have a old computer with the current setup:

E8500 @ 3.2Ghz
4GB 1333
790i Ultra sli
2X GTX280


while playing games sych World of Warcraft or Mass effect it sometimes stutters and the CPU usage hits 100%, even when it's playing smooth CPU usage is never below 80%

This is with a clean install of W7 64 on a new hard drive

His cpu is perfectly fine for what he needs.

Is there anything abnormal in task manager?
Is the cpu running hot?
Try backing your overclock down and see if the usage goes down.

also do a full virus and malware scan.
