cpu usage

not sure if im being dumb, but there is a lot of software that monitors temps, and records max/min, but is there something similar for cpu usage, sonmething that will record max/min/average, so say i can run an app as i would normally, and when i have finished, see if its been pushing the system at all?

another thought, taskmanager,does this make a log of these kind of numbers?

Taskmanager doesnt monitor temperature, just usage.
And as far as Im aware, it doesnt create logs either xD
Sorry, but I cant really think of any software around (I know lots exist, just cant find it now xD)

lol cheers anyway. dont need it to do temp, just want to be able to see what the cpu and pos ram have been doing during normal application usage.
its all well and good doing benchmarks, but i would rather have something that will give me accurate figures of what im actually doing, not just what its like under 100% constant load.

Doesn't intels own Thermal Analysis Tool (TAT) log CPU usage? I can't remember.
