Hey all,

I've just got myself a Q6600, and am in the process of giving it a bit of an OCing (as is the law with these chips).

I'm monitoring it with CPU-Z, Core Temp and SpeedFan, and am finding differing results in temperatures at least (as per picture). SpeedFan is consitently 10C lower in all readings than Core Temp, which is correct?

Also, the VID for this chip is 1.325V, but I've got it on a 2.85GHz OC and it's only running at 1.26V under full load (Prime95). I'd have thought it'd be running at 1.325v?

Any thoughts?

Cheers guys.

I've installed HW monitor, and it shows roughly the same voltage as my BIOS reading (1.26V in HWM and 1.28V in BIOS).

My VID is 1.325V, but even running an FSB of 333MHz (3GHz) I've not had to do anything to the voltage in BIOS (it's on auto) and it's still only at ~1.26V @ 100% load in Prime95 (and seemingly stable). I assumed it'd need at least the VID value of 1.325V running at this overclock at full load? Is this normal behaviour?

I use Everest Ultimate, this monitors, temps, volts, and a lot of other items and system info. You can also have a like a GUI on the desktop to display key info or install the windows gadget.
