Cpu Won't Fit

Help please! Just bought a i7 2011 cpu but it won't fit on my amd board. Chap at Bolton store it should be a good combo.

i7 2011 is intel chip it only fits in Intel 2011 (X79 Chipset) motherboards , in no shape or form it would go in amd motherboard .

TBH I don't bother with a motherboard at all. Just get loads of wire and solder all your components together

Just use molegrips to hold it as close as possible to the socket, then drip melted solder into the gaps to make electrical connection.
