I have this system:
AMD 630 x4 2.8ghz
ATI HD 4850 512mb
Asus M4A78LT-M
OCZ 1333mhz Ram 2x2gb
Corsair CX400

Even if i overclock my cpu slightly i get a BSOD within 2 minutes of game play it survives Prime 95 but on games its a different story.

Any ideas why?

Thanks for any help.

are you increasing your Voltage too?

I know little about OCing and your chip. is it a chip designed to be OCed?

Others may want to know what OC you are trying for, is it within limits of your CPU?

I had a similar problem. It was due to my PSU wasn't powerful enough to push my over clock while my GPU was being pushed to the limits as well. Bought a new PSU and bam problem solved for me. Though your problem may be different :)

what settings are you using for the clock?

i had basically the same chip ( X4 635 ) and psu when i first started clocking

Unless i'm mistaken, that 760G micro-ATX board is really not very good at overclocking - especially with a Quad core.

However, you should be able to get something out of it - your PSU and CPU are certainly up to it. As seraph mentions above, can you tell us what settings you are using for the overclock?

Also, have you tried stress testing your GPU on its own (with something like furmark)?

Have you locked your PCIe at 100 (not auto), To crash in games but not prime sounds like graphics. Also your ram needs to be within specified speeds (or close).
