Hi all

Hope everyone is fine this eve.
Not sure how to put this but CPU-Z is not reading my Mem Voltage properly.
My modules are rated to run at 1.5V but as I was overclocking the memery to 1604Mhz I bumped my mem voltage up to 1.64V in the Bios yet CPU-Z still showed 1.5V???

Also could have a prob with my overclock which I think could be PSU related. Had just got through a final round of Prime95 test and was about to go into Bios to save my OC profile, when I noticed windows was only showing 2GB out of my 8GB. Rebooted and went into Bios and pre screen and bios said only 2GB. reset everything to stock and it all ok again.
Any help or thoughts would be aprechated.
Will provide info as and when people want it.
I am not new to overclocking done it on all my past systems.

CPU-z doesn't show RealTime memory voltage (vDimm) info . . . what you are looking at is the [SPD] info:

cpuzspd.gif

The [SPD] is programmed into the sticks and contains information that the motherboard needs to know about the memory . . . so when the sticks are plugged into a motherboard the mobo reads the [SPD] info and sets the voltages, frequency, timings, volts etc accordingly . . . in the screenshot above it shows 1.8vDimm and will continue to show 1.8vDimm even if I was to manually change the vDimm to 2.0v . . . the same goes if you were to change the timings, frequency etc . . .

Realtime frequency & timings info can be found in the [Memory] tab but not vDimm

Ahhh did not rilise that well thanks for that information.

If you want to see memory voltage, download cpuid hardware monitor, and look at the VIN1 reading.

Yeah I got cpuid as well will have a look see what that says.
Everyone thanks for the help.
Just regarding the second bit of my thread post about the memery dropping off down to 2GB anyone got and advise?

They are in A1,A2,B1,C1
I have done a screen shot of my desktop but cant seem to link to the thread????

Good stuff, well that is all as it should be.

As for posting screenshots - upload it to an image host like imageshack or photobucket and post the link via the "insert image" button shown when writing a forums message (yellow button, shows mountains and sun).

DRAM sitting at 1.66V, is that not how it should be?

Oh, if you want the image to be viewable within the thread just copy this: "{IMG]http://a.yfrog.com/img217/7889/snapd.png[/IMG]" and change the front bracket into a square bracket "[".

Well no it is not how it should be as I know at the moment damm well that my dram volt is at 1.50 in the bios.
