Hey,

I've probably overlooked something very obvious and being very stupid, but CPUZ states my CPU at 3.6 @ 400x9, when I am actually using a 9.5 multiplier.

Pretty sure it's reading it correctly and you haven't enabled the "unlock .5" multiplier in the bios. I really hate gigabytes BIOS layout...

No, I'm defiantely at 3.8, and running 9.5x. I've been messing with this board for months, so I know my way around it like the back of my own hand. I also see the speed at boot, and it even says 3.8 when right click my computer and properties (XP)

Nevertheless, cpu-z is rarely wrong. Does your board actually offer the x0.5 multiplier? Some of the older ones don't.

Alternative approach is ignore cpu-z, if it's quick enough for what you're using it for then who cares

I guess it's probably something to do with the fact that my board doesn't innately support the CPU without being updated to the latest BIOS (F7). Maybe the guys at CPUZ haven't updated my board in their databases or something
