Two cranes

IGO 50 self erector

I need to work out how much they are both going to cost me for 25 hours of use a week, need to allow 40 Kva for the MCT 88.

IGO 50 is 22 Kva

400 V (+6% -10%) 50 Hz CEI 38 IEC 38 15 LVF 10 : 22 kVA 2000/14

MCT 88 is 40 Kva

A CEI 38 IEC 38 kVA 400 V (+6% -10%) 50 Hz

20kw, so that's £2 an hour so that's £50 for 52m one.

and the bigger one is £82~ per week.

It all rather depends on how much they are used in that time. They wont be running at full power all the time, but that at least gives you an upper limit on the cost.

No probs, and just like Liampope said that's at maximum usage (ie 25/25 hours the crane is being used at that maximum power). It'll vary on your usage but that's the max.

Yep I'm running a comparison between the two over 30 weeks and the self erector is considerably cheaper if your take into account the additional piles / crane base / sacrificial base, the running costs was something I needed to see the difference between them so not really needing to be accurate, on the basis either would be lifting the same it didn't need to be penny accurate.

Where is this electricity coming from? Do you have a TP supply on site or are you running from a gen?

TBS from the main which is very rare for a crane as they don't like 'dirty' power and we end up on gennys
