851 fixes on a customer pc earlier

Anyone else have crazy virus / spyware / registry systems? :)

Probably the worst I've had is about 150 registry fixes.

But my sister's PC was terrible, over 200 viruses/trojans/spyware, god knows how many MBs of junk...

run regseeker on it

regseeker is a far better regcleaner, usually finds about 3 or 4 times ccleaner does

the temp cleaner in ccleaner is awesome though :)

1400 Ive had on a customers PC, but no screenshot :(

Also ive seen CCleaner remove almost 9Gb of rubbish from a Customer's machine. It took almost an hour :p

Is it safe to use though? CCleaner has never mucked a system up for me yet and I've done 100+.

i've used both on about 300-400 pcs, the only problem i've EVER had with either was ccleaner removing the IE7 beta uninstaller (serves them right for installing a beta when they're a noob :p )

used regseeker for years and years, been using ccleaner since probably about the 5th release (i'm guessing)

Agreed. Ive used it on hundreds of machines as well. No problems what so ever here. Great program.

I've just removed in excess of 34,000 useless files from a coworker's PC with Crap Cleaner. The analysis took so long I thought it had crashed.

Embarrassingly, I have to admit that I didn't know it fixes registry problems too :) I use RegScrubXP for that.

Just to let you know, I reloaded the system from scratch in the end, it was running dog slow but is lightning quick now :)

My bro (Tedac) was cleaning a virus off a machine last night in which AVG7.0 reported 8600 individual viruses :o

I'm toying with the idea of building an old system just to try and get it infected with a load of junk. It's been years since i got a virus, i'm starting to miss them ;)

Only concern though, can any viruses affect other computers connected to the same network as this donor pc?

Simply because of that statement I would suggest you dont get a virus on a machine :p
