Got a samsung hard drive about a year ago but had to get a new one due to the *fear* - it started making an annoying sound when deleting files.
Anyways, I've been using it as a storage hard drive and it's screwing with my comupter.
As a hard drive, it runs fine (reads and runs files without a problem) until you try and delete something. Then it sounds like it's scraping for a second, stops for a second, scrapes for a second (whilst saying 'preparing to delete') etc... until about 30 seconds later it lets me confirm to delete.
Has anyone got any ideas (apart from faultiness of course) of what may be causing this? I don't want to bin the hard drive as it works well for backup but eveytime I want to delete something it takes me about 3 hours!!!
