Crappy Nvidia Drivers

You can't make a post like that and not provide facts of your own. To make a point you need to find up to date, reliable sales figures from ATI and Nvidia.

And if I were to make a guess (which is all we can do till you find your statistics) then I doubt NV sells 3 times as much hardware as ATI. Yes, maybe in the enthusiast market but ATI has a strong presence in the mainstream and budget areas.

Low end graphics by nature are pretty "discrete", not literally ;) So people with these low end cards prolly aren't doing much on their PC, bit of browsing\porn\wordprocessing...That never crashed a computer..

People with the higher end cards play games generally (I would guess that there are at least 3 x more nvidia owning gamers at the moment than ATI)

Games and intensive stuff crashes computers, coupled with overclocking and what not...

I'm just saying that the way you put your post seemed to be sensationalising like the news of the world might and not actually reporting the facts of the matter, but cherry picking the results not taking everything into account.

There was certainly no need to start a thread with that small amount of info you provided

It does not confirm anything as if Nvidia showed up as 5% on the pie chart because of very stable drivers then you would not be in such a hurry to use that as an indication of market share or it could be simply that Nvidia do have more hardware out there than ATI & also have more buggy as hell drivers.
The stuff posted on this forum alone over the years is enough to tell me that Nvidia are more buggy on avg than ATI.
Where as ATI can have lots of bugs after the release of a new card, they then work hard to smooth them out as soon as they can but Nvidia sure do take there time.

I agree with you really on the whole. I wasn't make any particular claims. Just trying to explain that the claims made by the OP are way off the mark, or at least the evidence provided wasn't evidence at all and had been misinterpreted or could have been. My claims could\could not be true, but they are merely explanations that are more than feasable explanations for what was posted by the OP.

Its the person who makes the claim that needs to substatiate the claim, my response is a clear possibility. That being the case its up to the OP to uphold the claim by debunking what I said.

Sorry that sounds all petty, just trying to clarify :) ....could be true :o:eek:

Load of bull, Nvidia hardly do any drivers, certainly not enough to give them about 30%, all those problems are probably from all those thousands of leaked drivers that keep appearing every day, nothing to do with Nvidia that, but their drivers are crap. :p

Loadsa you probably missing the point here its nvidias lack of drivers that probably cause them most of the problems. Ati have a monthly driver release but nvidia don't have a set time could be 6 months could be every 2 days for me its a little random like there crashes. I have had ati for years and no crashes and no nvidia so i am not gonna say its my experience just from reading these forums a lot i can see nvidia cards rock atm but they have a lot of issues.
