Hey guys,

I bought myself some Crayfish from Lidl. I think it's just the tail meat, but I could be wrong.

What can I do with it? I've read that Rocket leaves taste good with it. Is there anything else I can use? A recipe would be cool, but one without a thousand ingredients. I'm thinking of some kind of salad?

I'v never tasted it before but it does look tasty... even though it was cheap :P.

Mmmm can't beat a bit of sweet chilli sauce. I'll grab some but I need something else with it.

Any cheeses that are nice with it? Blue cheese, Brie, Camembert or something?

A nice simple recipe would be some tagliatelle served with the crayfish stirred through the hot pasta having been lightly fried in a pan with some lemon juice and zest, finely diced red chili, melted butter and flat-leaf parsley.

You could even omit the butter in favour of creme fraiche if you like - just use a light oil to fry the crayfish tails.

Crayfish tails also make for a lovely replacement for prawns in a cocktail. They also go very nicely with salmon mousse for stuffing pasta and would make for a great rocket salad starter with a lemony vinaigrette and a handful of fresh croutons and fried pancetta cubes.

Sounds immense. I'll try that tomorrow one of those tomorrow.

For now I've just got onion, rocket, crayfish and sweet chilli sauce :P.

Cheers.
