Craziest Shipping Info...

It came to the UK and then went back to Germany before coming back to the UK.
It didn't.
Data and freight travel separately but often both get "tracked".
When the export is declared, data will be sent to the export location, and then to the import location. Often the import location will pre-clear the item before the goods have even entered the country.

I ordered a present back in early March for someone's birthday that was meant to be in late March, 3 weeks away. Seller is from Sri Lanka. Hell, even if it was from China, 3 weeks' notice would have sufficed as it normally takes 1-2 weeks. After I paid, there was a dispatch notice on the eBay purchase history page which said that I'll be expecting it on 9th June. 4 months away!

Do eBay sellers do this deliberately? It's too early to file an item-not-received case because it's not 9th June yet, but also it's too late to file a case because it's not in my purchase history any more.

Don't have the list at hand, but I ordered a backpack on Amazon that is sold by a shop about 50 miles away from my house. When despatched it went on a grand tour around the European hubs and took 12 days to arrive.
Had the same with something from a place about 400yds from me. Only found out when the invoice came through with their address on, but it turns out that's just where they're based... actual stock is ordered from a warehouse overseas.
