Well I guess I was one of the unlucky ones, mine just turned up...plugged it in and it's not detected, tried in both my laptop and an external enclosure and fails to detect.

Pretty gutted it's DOA, I guess I'll start a RMA.

Just get in touch, we will check it and if DOA get it swapped straight out. If you ask us too as well we will happily pre-test the replacement as long as you understand it will be opened, upto you. :)

We sold over 1000 in 24hrs gonna be the odd duffer just like any product.
 
Looks like lots of problems with these drives then, from the research I've found that if the SSD has a red light it's knackered. Do either of you guys with the problems have a red light? (It's left of the SATA/Power connections)

Mine is green then 2seconds after the red comes on.

1500ish in one day sold, if we see about 2% fail for DOA, thats 30 drives that could potentially have issues.

1%, would be 15 drives, 0.5%, 8 drives.

You sell more, you get more back and people always post to say something does not work, but when something works most people simply don't bother to mention it.

Simple economics.
 
On a theoretical basis, if ocuk had no more and the drive was faulty what would they do? Replace like with like from the current range?

Refund all your monies.

But we have stock so replacing any faulty ones is not an issue.

Nowhere does packaging or drive have 2E written on it, only on the part code.

RMA rate, no higher than any other drive, since Friday we've now sold close to 5000 of these 2E drives. :)
