'A Pokemon episode entitled Electric Soldier Porygon (Denno Senshi Polygon)flashed red, dark red, light blue, blue, lavender, white, cream, and pink, which caused 700 Japanese children to go into seizures. Then they showed the infamous clip on Japanese evening news and adults had seizures.(citation needed)'

Pokemon, gotta love it :p

If that's true [which knowin the Japs it probably is] that's madness.

Whose bright idea was it to go "yes, THIS is the seizure-inducing footage..."

It would be funny to hear the news broadcasters thinking about whether to show the footage. The show would have been like this:

"Today nearly 700 children had seizures due to a cartoon being shown on television. Here is the footage."

Footage

"So, as you can see, it is very effective."

It must have been a tense moment when news teams had to appologise for showing the clips. :p

Just watched it there for a couple of runs and it doesn't make you have a seizure. Just sore eyes

Do people with epilepsy not go to gigs or anything? Most gigs ive been to there are normaly strobe lights. I know on the tickets it says that flashing lights will be used, but it must suck if you didn't go see your fav. band because they use strobe lights.

I bought a strobe light years ago, and I was asked about half a dozen times if I was epileptic.

Headaches, pain behind the eyes and a little dizzy... maybe thats just because i sat round about 10-20 inches from the screen...

I'm scared to watch it :( . Even though I'm quite positive I'm not epileptic (never had a fit in 24 years of gigs/strobes and videogames). Still scares me for some reason.
