Crazy slow down in games

I don't know what to do really, could wait and see if perhaps it gets worse?!

I left mine a couple of days, whines just got louder, C&C3 for example started to chug, turned it off before the big BANG happend and wait for Corsair 520w to arrive. New psu in, check using C&C3 and problems all gone, the PSU that slowly died was a 'Hyper Type-R 480w' model going on close to 3 years old.

Interesting. So it was doing the same for you? I might get an RMA from OCZ if that's the case. Cheers.

Check to see if v-sync is enabled, as somebody already mentioned. I had this exact problem with the Dirt demo, and when I turned v-sync off, it was as smooth as butter!

V-Sync is enabled, I'll turn it off and see what happens. But tbh I shouldn't have to. I mean the FPS is fixed at 30 in the game, no way would v-sync be causing me an issue..... or would it?

I'm also going to try launching the game through DirectX Tweaker, as I heard that Triple Buffering isn't applied and has to be forced? Anyway, will see what happens....

Its not the PSU imo
I have the exact same issues with C&C3 TW as Firegod and my PSU is 3 months old making no weird sounds
its also the OCZ PSU
