Is it worth buying one of these to install windows XP on? I'm running an old HP pavillion rig and it's starting to show it's age, but I don't have the moneys for a full new build. I saw a samsung SSD in action, and it was suprisingly fast at booting up, but not sure if this would have the same effect with an old OS and system.

Got my 60GB the other day, only got round to fitting it in the Wifes PC yesterday.
Not getting the greatest of performance
Seems it really really doesn't like the G41+ICH7 chipset (SATA-II, IDE).
160 Read / 80 Write
So only about normal mechanical drive speeds for sequential. I would have thought I would get closer to the rated spec's. But alas not.
4k speeds and access times are much better however.
