create gif from a folder of images

Hi all,

I have a folder of images taken once a day by a webcam.

I was wondering if anyone knew of an easy way to create an animated gif from all these images.

I have Photoshop CS3 - although cant work out how to make it do it in a batch job.

I am also open to any other ( preferably free ) programs that will do this.

I think Adobe Imageready might do that, but it's not free, although you could try the trial version.
