Create Vector Text in Illustrator

Hi,

I have Adobe Illustrator and wish to make a Vector logo (consisting of text). I know there is a way of creating a vector image using the pen tool tracing around the object. But my text is complicated (because there is a "crack" effect in the text. )

the text is just simply a font, and nothing i created myself, so how can i make this into vector?

Any ideas?

Shouldn't matter, if you can highlight the logo and stretch it without it losing quality. Then thats it. Illustrator is a vector based program.

Just type what you want and save it as an EPS.
