Creating a game

Try to be original, WW2 has been done to death, and then done to death again.
How about something wii-style?
A different type of puzzle/platform game involving fun house mirrors, zombies and different coloured chainsaws maybe - or whatever your imagination can come up with.
Take a look at some of the cool indie games on the PC for inspiration.
I'm not really giving any ideas as they're mine, all mine!!!! Also, it's your homework ;)
 
How about sherlock holmes esque type of era, the beginning of modern day technology chasing the likes of jack the ripper with varations of weapons, steampunk style.

Edit: Bahh scratch the sherlock holmes, jack the ripper was just browsing play and saw theres already a game about that.

I think you should create a game where 2 "I" shapes have to knock a "0" shape back and forth across the screen.

And no that's not pong. Thats a new game, I just invented it
 
Do a game about a guy who has to break into his grandma's house to acquire the magical (and sacred) 'blue book', you could go pretty in-depth with the story by hinting at a variety of reasons for needing this book, maybe it holds an immense power? Maybe it is a recipe to a cure for a deadly disease that grips the home planet of the protagonist, or maybe it's just to help pay for some debts.
