Creating a Standing Order on HSBC Internet Banking?

Daft thread, i know.

I created a standing order yesterday using online banking (HSBC) and set it to come out on the 28th of every month. I've just checked my online banking again and the money hasnt come out, nor does the standing order show up in my list. Has anyone done this before? How long will it take? I'm not in a rush to get the person the money, i just dont understand why it's not showing or anything. I dunno if i managed to hit a wrong button at the end or something silly, or i flummoxed it by trying to start the standing order on that date (28th). :confused:

Give them a call 08457 404 404. Far easier.

Takes about half an hour to get through to someone i cant even understand iirc :\ I was just wondering on the off-chance someone else had set one up!

From the page where you set them up - " If the standing order you want to create is due to start in two working days or less, the beneficiary may not receive your payment in time."

In other words its not been setup yet so if you set it for a monthly payment it wont come out until next month now IIRC.

Yeah is saw that, wasnt really sure what to make of it. I thought maybe it would just come out in a few days. So if i wait a couple of days, hopefully the standing order will appear in the list. If the first amount doesnt come out i'll just do it manually.
