Creating a website

I have just started making a website for a uni sports club I'm in. I have NEVER used photoshop before but in the last 4 or 5 days I have learned the difference between the rectangle tool and the rectangle marquee tool (just). I have managed to make a pretty nice layout (I think so anyway ) and have begun adding content to each page now. Nearly my whole site is made in Photoshop, with Dreamweaver used to do a few links and things. Considering I have never done anything like this before I think it can be done.

I have made extensive use of a couple of website though, namely Good-Tutorials.com and Pixel 2 Life.

If you take things step by step you can build a decent looking website given enough time.

yes but theres diffferent degrees of good I can remember back when I made my first website, at the time I though it was the dogs dangles but looking back on it now i'd be ashamed to show my gran and thats AFTER removing the questionable content

Oh its a small project for a charity (Youth Community Website). We just call them the clients.

I know what clients are.

I asked what is your job?

For example you could be an intern at a design agency, do freelance work yourself, be doing it for free as you're a slightly-techy friend and so on....each one would cause me to give a different answer

It is kind of sad that people don't (as commonly) appreciate that they get what they pay for with web design as much as with other things, however this is changing which, for me, is good!

I think you just bit off more than you could chew, but thats something we've all done.
