creating a windows 8 virtual machine question

Hi i have a problem when my virtual pc is highlighted and i press start to start the install. I get virtualbox error message saying.

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine windows 8 cp.
VT-x features locked or unavailable in MSR.
(VERR_VMX_MSR_LOCKED_OR_DISABLED).

What have i done wrong?

Does your environment support Windows 8 as a guest OS?

He's using virtualbox I'm guessing from that error message...

Go to settings for that virtual machine -> System -> Acceleration Tab...

Is Enable AT-x/AMD-V ticked?

And does your host machine actually have a processor that supports VT-x or AMD-V?

Does anyone have a fresh install image that I could download? I had a few issues on VB too and tbh I want a shortcut
