How can I burn AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders to a DVD so the disc will play in an ordinary DVD player? Can it be done for free?

if you already have those folders im sure you can just copy them to a DVD and they will work..

Nero will do the job for you quite easily. Just google Nero and you can download yourself a free trial.

Imgburn is completely free, easy to use and will do this and much more.

Note that the AUDIO_TS folder is usually empty.

Any burning program freeware/paid for will do this for you (onto DVD-/+R's), apart from IMGBurn there is also Ashampoo Burning Studio and InfraRecorder...
