Creating simple animations

I am conducting a piece of research on child language, and need to get hold of some simple animations of a character performing actions.

A few examples are:

- a boy kicking a ball
- a boy choosing a toy from a toy box
- a boy banging a drum

Does anyone know how to do this, or where I can go to get them done? The character performing the actions needs to be the same throughout (i.e. the same boy doing everything).

Get Deluxe Paint (abandonware no doubt by now) or use an Amiga emu to run it and use the onion skinning* function. Dead simple to use and quick to get results.

*Imagine a pad of paper then changing the drawing slightly on each subsequent page.

Thanks for replies. Is there anything I can use to upload pictures to though as the images need to be good (and my drawing is not!). Even better - if there is somewhere I could go to get it all done for me (at a cost though I understand) ...

Thanks for the suggestion, but it needs to be 2d animation, as other parts of the study use 2d still images and I need it to be comparable.
