Creative input required

Ok, it's my wife's birthday very soon and I'm taking her to Paris for a few days.

Rather than just give her the booking slip, which doesn't seem very romantic somehow (!), I thought I'd give her some cryptic / inventive way of conveying her present to her. Tickets are picked up from the train station, so I can't just give her the actual tickets either.

One idea I had was to fabricate and print some bogus tickets using Photoshop, and give her the fake tickets. Is that crap? Any other ideas?

If anybody wants to have a go at creating something I can print and give to her that will have some impact, it would be gratefully received!

General Discussion tyoe idea:

Arrange a mock kidnapping, hae her sedated etc then whe she wake up have the first thing she hear be the sound of French voices,,that'll give her a good clue as to where she is...

How about making up a little folder with info cards about some of the sights and landmarks etc?

Buy a new iPod touch, and get a Paris guide application loaded onto it.

She will also have something to do on the train then.

Make a fake paris cafe in your dining room/kitchen then present her with the fake tickets after a mock Parisian meal?

Reverse your car into hers making sure to leave loads of dents, sell her some overpriced dinner, throw loads of rubbish about and then letch on her. That's how I remember Paris.

Or buy her a French-English dictionary?

Don't wash for a few days, eat only onions, when she speaks to you just grunt. Make her a coffee and then charge her €10, get every neighbourhood dog to crap on the pavement outside your house and ask all local drivers to sound their horns randomly but constantly, get them to park their cars so it's impossible for her to move hers, a week of this and she'll think she's already in Paris.

Dont get her anything. Just take her to the station on the morning you leave without telling her a thing.

If the Birthday is before the trip, buy her something really crap for the lulz.
