The Dwave machines aren't bona fide quantum computers. The performance benefit has been found to be negligible over more conventional machines. Haven't watched the video, but a pinch of salt may be required.

I much preferred when they used Gordie's "quantum computers reach out to parallel universes to exploit their resources" speech to coin backbone theory to Mandela Effect. At least that's proper sci-fi entertaining as an internet myth, mixing bible and demons to tech is just so... antique, fin de siecle, 120 years too late.
