1) Love it

2) Too much going on i think.

3) love the trees

(i know nothing about photography so please dont take any of my comments seriously :D )

1 is good, 2 needs straightening, a lot. 3, sadly is ruined by the people in the centre, but mainly due to the odd blur on the left. I'm too tired to look at it more in depth, so I can't make my mind up if it's the colour from the lights in the last one, or the exposure that isn't working. Seems a tad soft too.

Might be an idea to fiddle with levels in PS.

I don't actually know how to straighten things in PS, maybe someone could give me a quick guide how to do it, or point me towards one?!

3, The photo is meant to be of the man in the middle standing still! Everyone else is meant to be rushing about with him stationary.

I have fiddled with the levels in PS, i wanted to make it all soft and smooth. I could have anothe rplay and see what else i come up with.

thanks for the comments though

+ Select the measure tool (hold down mouse-button on the eyedropper tool, bottom-right)
+ 'Measure' something that should be straight. e.g. the horizon, or a building*
+ Image > Rotate Canvas > Abritrary
+ Crop away the white space that's been made around the edges

*If you're using a wide-angle shot you should make sure you measure something towards the centre of the shot, as buildings and such towards the edge could be distorted because of the wide-angle.

I like all the shots, but i feel as thought they're slightly over-saturated. Did you bump it up in PS much, or am i imagining things?

1. Love it

2. Overexposed ever so slightly imo

3. doesn't do anything for me.

Hope that helps :)

#1 is pretty good

Definitely straighten #2 and if you can, try and get back the face of Big Ben - it's a bit blown out.

#3 doesn't really grab me, your focal point doesn't seem like it is the focal point if you get what I'm saying.

thanks for all the comments guys. it gives me somthign to try and improve on next time!

They ahve all been 'tweeked' in photoshop, the idea with the last one was that it was really ott, but i didn't want to take it tooo over the top, i supose because its half way between the two means that its not defenitive one way or the other.

i'll give ti a go straightening the second one and trying to get bens face back too! :)

<super hyper critcal mode>

1 - The plane trail on the right is a bit distracting - clone brush should help

2 - I can't help feeling having the whole of big ben in would've made it a nicer picture

Nice pictures though :) *thumbs up* Do you have any EXIF details on them?

I hope you don't mind, but I've had a quick play with the first photograph.

london1.jpg

Couple of tweaks:
Swewed a bit to correct the wheel from leaning backwards
Levels tweak to reduce red cast

Removed some (IMO) distracting elements:
Cropped to remove green lights on right and fence posts bottom right
Removed plane trail
Removed camera flashes from people inside the London Eye!

sorry to be a Photoshop n00b, but could you please let me know how you went about doing these little tweeks?

I've no idea how you actually remove bits from the photo, or use the clone tool?!

many thanks

Greg
